There Is Nothing More Genuinely Spiritual Than Living By Reality (Remember Yourself)
If there is any criteria to live by that I would consider valid criteria in life, it would be this: Reality. There are no real short cuts except for the simple, but long one. The criteria would be, it works, then, would it not? In my mind and every part of my being, including spirit, it would be. I know that reality is disappointing to those mystics who want the “invisible more.” But, reality when admitted can be better than the invisible more ultimately, through genuine mastery and hard, honest work that is smart. For indeed, self remembering and self knowledge acted upon rationally is power. Never hold back from yourself, ever, because being totally honest with yourself is the genuine short cut to it all. The long way is justification and laziness. No place means no place, everywhere is everywhere. It depends on where you want to go, what you want to do, and why you want to do it. To my way of thinking, self direction is key, outer direction is forever less than secondary, meaning outer direction never really count, but self direction always counts. I know to some that will sound rather “cut throat” in some ways, but that is reality when you have been too dishonest with yourself for a long time. It is cut throat, with all the deadly qualification of self avoidance in a very real sense. Can you live by your own authority and remember yourself and your power? It is there for the taking.
Sure, I can be less honest and plain with you all who are reading my words. Indeed, if I was, there would be no point for me to write. The real meaning of free will is self determination, it exists with each new consciousness created in existence. That is the real meaning of the “new birth” and “new being” concepts in all religions and philosophies. Indeed, the greatest adventure is genuinely free consciousness. It is the ultimate power we all have over ourselves in existence. When I say the word existence, I mean everything physical, metaphysical and in between.
Mental slavery is thus self induced and self made. If it was not, then the mistreated would ultimately not be cooperating with the treatment they get, now, would they? There would be more solutions and less problems to complain about that we would make. Sure, that is oversimplifying it to an extent, but that is what it takes to get my point across: An honest consciousness is the solution to all problems. It is not perfect, but it is oriented toward honestly solving problems, and that is the power, even when there is seemingly nothing to do, everything can be bettered. That is my point also. Perfection is a concept and it is in the perception of each person experiencing it. Indeed, we all make our own perfection or imperfection.
My name is Joshua Clayton, I am a freelance writer based in Inglewood, California. I also write under a few pen-names and aliases, but Joshua Clayton is my real name, and I write by that for the most part now. I am a philosophical writer and objective thinker and honest action taker. I also work at a senior center in Gardena, California as my day job, among other things, but primarily I am a writer.
