Have you taken your share of losses in the Market? Have you been laid off, down sized or out sourced? Maybe you’ve become irrelevant. Or like me, maybe you are psychologically unemployable at this stage in life. Perhaps you don’t think you’ll ever be able to retire or keep working beyond age 70. In a recent survey, over 70% of Boomers surveys said they either would not be able to retire when they want or at best, weren’t sure.
Now, if you’ve been scouring the Net like I was a few months ago, looking for some kind of opportunity, or you may have even dabbled in a few along the way already. If so, the fact you’re still looking says you haven’t quite found that Golden Egg or Red Pill. Right?
Now, if you are past age say, 50, you know we just don’t have the time to build an army of small thinking, tire kicking, fence sitting whiners, cry babies, and program jumpers with gnat sized commissions or other Mickey Mouse internet deals.
You need to think big. Real big and go Big Game hunting!
I’m talking about the big commissions opportunities that are out there. Believe me, the clients are out there and we can show you how to find them! The Internet is gagging on all the so called “opportunities”.
Many of us have dipped our toes in the waters of lotions, potions and pills, and from what I have heard, not many of them have found much success either.
Years ago in the “old days” of MLM, I burnt through my list of 100 people I knew, which was really about a dozen (I’ve never been real popular). But eventually, my Reliable Dozen were blocking my calls! I can’t blame them. But, hey, it’s what all those really successful leaders told us to do right?
Right up front here, I will confess to having thrown thousands of dollars into this or that program with little or no success. I’d like to lie and say “well, I’ve at least broken even”, but alas, that’s just not true. That’s what I told my wife, at the time.
Now, even when I did make sales with my Mega Juice, the commission was only $30 a month! So, let’s do some math here. In order to make $5,000 a month, I would need to recruit over 160 people who were so excited about my Juice, that they will gladly pay over $50 – $100 a month autoship for this liquid Fountain of Youth Gold! AND, they will of course, become rabid promoters of said miracle juice and also recruit about 100 people themselves, onto an infinity downline that keeps growing and growing while I sleep! Yes, after that one sale, I sat on the back deck and looked into the sky dreaming of wealth untold! Guess what? That never happened. I had people buy a case then cancel once the weather changed. I had people cancel because they had found the Next Great Thing! I had people cancel because they said my Miracle Juice wasn’t working, or started tasting bad, or they said their cat started clawing the sofa once they started taking the juice. True story!
AND, I was working a full time job and calling people. Every night. During work. On Saturdays. I posted mini flyers on public bulletin boards. Heck, no wonder my wife left me!
I’m only g oing to speak for myself, but at my stage of life, I had to make up for lost time.
I needed a BIG GAME commission item to sell. Folks, I’m talking about Big Game hunting!
So what do you need to look for in a Big Game program?
Here are some questions you need to ask:
1. How much money do I need to start?
Answer: You need to have money set aside to join and promote. That may sound like a no brainer but some of the Biggies out there start at $3,000 and up to $19,000 and up, and you should have at least $3,000 set aside for marketing and advertising. On the flip side, commissions go accordingly. Some programs pay a hefty $5 – 10k and up! So, do the math.
2. Will I be required to pass up my first one or two recruits? Some successful companies have this requirement, but I personally would stay away from such a structure.
3. Is there a residual income potential? Most companies have this feature to some degree but mostly it will be limited to you first couple of recruits. Not all comp plans are created equal. The question you need to ask yourself is: Will my mentor still be around after my first one or two sales? Again, do your research.
4. Does this company offer multiple streams of income? Many of the direct sales companies have pretty much a slam bam thank you mam sales approach, but a couple have actually diversified to having over eight streams of potential income!
5. Does the company have a product of real value that you or anyone can really benefit from?
I know there are companies that have software, information packages, personal development programs, wellness and success coaching and financial and investment advisories. But would you buy it as a stand alone product? You need to decide what’s best for you.
6. Does the company have a history of integrity and success? Are they growing? Are people buying into this program at such a high cost? Look around on the net, what do you see and hear about what ever company you are interested in.
7. Does this company offer any kind of ongoing training and support?
8. Lastly, ask yourself is this something I can get up every day and feel excited about.
What brought me to this point was in the latter part of 2009 when the Market Crashed and a hedge fund I was in got shut down by the IRS and the FBI, I realized I had lost over 60% of my net worth! Here I was 58 years young and I thought I was “set for life”. I panicked of course, but then I pulled myself up and got busy. With what money I had left, I decided to invest in myself and educate myself in Internet Marketing.
After looking around and around all over the net, I made a decision, not too lightly, mind you, to join one of these programs and glad I did. I did my due diligence. I prayed about it. Took a deep breath and took the plunge into the top tier of a very well know program.
It is a company that specializes in Marketing Education and Mastery that you won’t find at a community college or in any university. I can go at my own pace and build, for me, a substantial income within the next six months to a year. In other words, I feel confident I will re-build what was lost.
Getting involved with any Internet endeavor can be scary — especially if it’s Big Game–frustrating, but rewarding IF you stay focused and apply yourself daily to what needs to be done, you will succeed.
