In this day and age more people are lacking a spiritual connection with God. The reason for this has to do with people losing their faith in God and with religion in general. More parents have stopped bringing their kids to church, either because of their loss in faith or they simply don’t have the time due to their work schedule. This needs to be changed in order to start improving your spiritual life. Attending church on a regular basis will keep you on the pathway to spiritual growth and especially in tune with God’s message of believing in him. If you do this consistently you will experience more peace of mind and restored faith in your life. You may even notice that any feelings of sadness and depression in your life will suddenly disappear. Then you will be at sound mind to devote your faith in God’s love and scriptures. For the bible says, “For God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.

As nice as it is to go to church to improve your spiritual life and relationship with God, there are still things that everyday people can do to accomplish this on their own. For one thing you can refrain from committing sins. People have a tendency to think they can intentionally commit terrible acts and just go to church to be forgiven by God. The problem with that is you need to prove your ability to repent before you can be forgiven. That means you need to stop repeatedly sinning. By doing this, you will build better relationships with your friends and family which will ultimately build a better relationship between you and God. For the bible says, “People who conceal their sins will not proper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy.”

Then to keep the relationship strong you need to be honest and open with people, especially with God. If you go to church and put on an act like you believe in God and that you have faith in his scriptures then God will know it. You may be able to fool pastors and fellow churchgoers, but God cannot be fooled. Therefore make sure you be yourself, even if you have little faith and are seeking it. God will appreciate your efforts in trying to find your way and will reward you by listening to His Words. And finally, try praying more to God. You don’t have to only go to church to speak to God or to build your relationship with him. If you pray to him then he will hear you, regardless of your location or situation. Remembering that and keeping your faith will surely get you as close to God as you can get.
