The art of living well also begins with the mind. How you live your life, and how happy you are depend on on how you think. It is all in the mind — the thinking mind. Mind power is mind over matter. You are responsible for how you feel — even some of the stresses in life. You are what you think, and you become what you think you are. Your life is the sum of your thoughts. Your brain is the hardware of your whole being. Your brain plays a pivotal role in your personality, feelings, and behavior because it is the seat of your perceptions and experiences. If you want to be what you really want to be, you must make your brain work for you, not against you. In other words, you must learn how to control your thoughts, or how to harness your mind power.
Mind power produces positive thinking, generating positive results. Your thoughts can affect not just your body and your emotions, but also your genes. According to scientific studies, how your mind processes your daily experiences can, in fact, switch on and off a particular gene responsible for a particular ailment or disease. Hence, there is close affinity between the mind and body.
Research has shown that holding on to deep emotional pain, such as anger or hatred, over many years can promote the growth of cancer. Therefore, if you can generate positive thinking, you can cure aches, pains, and illnesses. To illustrate, in drug research, many patients, who believe that they are getting the real medicine, even though in fact they are receiving only a placebo, often show signs of improvement, if not recovery. This is strong evidence of mind power in generating positive thinking and positive feelings to bring about positive health effects.
The mind-body connection is further demonstrated in your emotional reactions. For example, when you become embarrassed, your face may blush; or a sexual fantasy may induce hormonal changes to produce sexual arousal in a male. Thoughts can definitely affect your body biology and alter your body chemistry. In life, every thought counts.
Given the importance of positive thinking, you should banish automatic negative thoughts (ANT) from your mind. Your negative thoughts are real to you, and they must be treated as real. Your goal is to change your perception of these automatic negative thoughts (ANT).
Notice your body’s reactions to the chemicals released by your brain as these automatic negative thoughts (ANT) occur. Your body may be sweating, or your heart may be pumping fast. Take notice of these subtle body changes, so that you can identify these automatic negative thoughts (ANT) whenever they occur. Awareness of automatic negative thoughts (ANT) is important. Once you can identify them, talk back to them whenever they occur. This is where subliminal affirmations play a pivotal part. Re-program your mind and body automatically by placing subliminal affirmations in your brain.
Mind power is amazingly incredible. The key to harnessing mind power is developing positive intentions with subliminal affirmations and powerful visualization.
