Often on the path of life, almost a weekly occurrence, if not more so… we experience challenges and obstacles on our road to achieving our goals. Some days our perspective may feel so gloomy that we bat away the wisdom, and curse the heavens as the unjust affairs of life stifle us. The delays and dashed hopes of our journey can mount up and cause an overwhelming crack in our motivation… stripping us of our joy and cheapening our desires. We may even lose all hope that our dreams will be achieved. This happens on the journey, this is a reality. So what to do about it?
There’s really no other option but to keep going. Keep working towards the goals and doing the things that will get you to your goal *one day*. All I really know is that as hard as this is at times, this continuous forging through the frey, we can’t give up. Sometimes life is simply about not giving up. And the truth is, in the end… we may never make it. But either way, there’s nothing better you could be doing with your time, other than working towards your dream. Whatever it is. Because there’s nothing better to do… anything less is truly a waste of your time.
And in the end, you will look back and know you gave it your best, regardless of whether you achieved anything of worldly success…you expressed an undying determination. It was once said a man must choose between two sufferings. The suffering of discipline, or the suffering of regret.
Either you give it your all, in a disciplined, methodical manner and work towards achieving your goal, and thus experience the pangs of determination. Or you experience the undying wondering and pain of regretting a life never truly lived. A difficult but obvious choice.
