Can you give us a bit of background on yourself?
Marie-Ange Olivier was born on August 24th, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Marie-Ange is the last of 3 children on her mother’s side. Her mother Adeline Jeannis; a native of Jacmel, Haiti was a local business woman who traveled to neighboring Caribbean and Latin American countries to purchase goods to resale in Haiti. Her father Dieujuste Olivier is from Anse-a-Veaux, Haiti. Her father was a hard working man whom most of his life held 2 jobs to care for his family. Marie-Ange completed the majority of her elementary education at an all girls’ catholic school. At the age of 6, in search for a better life; her mother left Haiti and moved to Turks-&-Caicos. At the age of 10, leaving their brother behind Marie-Ange and her older sister moved to Miami, FL to leave with a family friend. Her mother later joined them. 2 years later tragedy struck the family as her father past away. Marie-Ange was distraught. Marie-Ange attended Miami Edison Senior and obtained a Bachelors and a Master’s degree in Business Administration at Nova Southeastern University.
Well I was born in Haiti from two very hard working parents. I strive on supporting where I come from, and continue to give back as much as I can.
You’re into pharmaceuticals and clothing, that’s an interesting mix. What lead you to that?
Well clothing has always been a passion of mine, so naturally I’m pursuing that dream via a online clothing store that I will soon be opening up. Pharmaceuticals is something I’ve always been infatuated with, I love the idea of helping people that are ill, and provide them the medicine needed to recover.
You’ve also got a Master’s in Business, that’s very impressive. How has that helped you in your career?
Well gaining the knowledge needed in how to run a successful business is something that’s very important to me. Getting that education was important and has done a great deal for me in understanding what is needed to become successful.
How did you get involved with MICCLUB RECORDS?
Well the CEO of that label, and I are old colleagues. We share a similar vision, so naturally we became business partners.
Where are you taking your career next?
My career is moving very fast, and I look forward to opening up my first pharmacy and clothing company. As well as in the near future making a big impact on the Haitian community.
